 There was a day... Not so long ago...

When I was lost.

With a heavy heart I walked through my days...

The details passed me by... The grief in my soul... 

Overwhelming... To the brink of emptiness.

No longer hoping... yearning for something more...

Empty...

A day... When I was all but lost inside myself.

Just one moment...

One single moment in time...

a knowing soul...

A brother who perhaps understood more than even he could comprehend...

Saved me.

As he sat a camera within my hands... and he told me to take photos...

That moment...

Unlocked something inside of me...

and in that very second... My eyes opened...

My heart grew light...

My soul awakened.

And I took photos.

Here I sit... Still... With a camera in my hands... and in my heart...

With a smile upon my face...

And a tear upon my cheek...

With a heart full of joy...

and a thousand beautiful profound moments.

Captured.

My journey...

Incredible.

My soul...

Full.

My Life...

Complete.

I will never have the words...

To Thank him...

For this chapter...

This most incredible chapter in my life...

But I do...

From the very bottom of my heart...

For all he has given...

For bringing me to Life.

As I sat upon the cold concrete veranda, I wondered... How did they ever come to know... after all of this time.

I wondered... if destiny had finally dealt them a perfect hand.

I hoped.

As I watched them together... ever so perfect... My heart fluttered.

To begin there... Already so in love... No time to learn to trust... No doubts... No rose coloured glasses...

Just love.  Real... Honest... Love.

She searches his eyes... she can barely believe it is real...

He holds her so tight...

Afraid to let go...

Afraid it is all too good to be true...

Afraid that fate might take her from him...

Now...

After eleven long years of unrequited love.

Now...

That they are finally here... in this perfect place...

She rests her head upon his chest and they close their eyes...

Perhaps that moment will last forever.

Hope.

When I watch them together... I feel hope... Burning in me...

Certainty... that they shall walk hand in hand for a lifetime...

That all can be right with the world...

That love can be found...

That life can be fair. Perfect. 

Certainty.

Hope. 

And so... a new life will begin... Together.
In his arms she has found comfort...
In his heart she has found a home...
In his soul she has found forever...
